Here at Talk of the Town Tutors, we can offer you friendly, experienced tutors from the surrounding area, who will deliver tailored lessons for your child’s needs. We cover multiple areas across Manchester; see our Locations page for more information. All of our tutors have all had enhanced DBS checks and are fully covered to work with your children.

Education is much more than an acquisition of knowledge. Providing a happy and secure learning environment, where children feel comfortable to take risks and have access to a broad variety of exciting learning experiences is vital. All of our tutors are extremely passionate about all children’s educational and learning needs. Children in our care learn in an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect. We believe they must always feel a sense of success and their raised self-esteem is of paramount importance if they are to succeed. We are here to work alongside your child’s school and help them overcome any barriers that they have faced, and to support them with the extra sessions. 

We are reflective practitioners; we evaluate all sessions to check for progress and development. Reflection, evaluation and observations are essential, as it allows us to recognise any problems or misconceptions your child may have had, as well as challenging successful learners to deepen their understanding.

The tutors, which we work with, are inspirational, modern, forward thinking professionals, who are passionate, dynamic and dedicated individuals. After the initial consultation, we will select the tutor who we think fits your child’s learning needs appropriately. After our first consultation, we will offer your child a free assessment and discuss what support we believe is needed to help them achieve their learning goals. We are keen to work with parents on their child’s tutoring needs and take into consideration their thoughts; together we can plan suitable and achievable goals over a 5 week period.  This we be shared with the selected tutor, who will assess and monitor your child’s progress over this time period.
